The Limerick Writers’ Centre presents
On The Nail’ Christmas celebration of literature at The Locke Bar, Georges Quay, Limerick. Thursday 3rd December at 8.00pm.

The Limerick Writers’ Centre continue their ‘On The Nail’ reading series with a special Christmas celebration of poetry, prose and music at The Locke Bar, George’s Quay, Limerick on Thursday 3rd December at 8.00pm.

Everyone is invited to partake in this festive occasion. Poets, storytellers, musicians and writers of all hue and shade can read or play at our special Christmas open-mic. Even if you don’t write you are welcome to bring something along to read.

This is also your chance to meet other writers and anyone interested in creative writing is welcome to come along on the night and meet with like-minded people.

The night begins at 8.00pm and there is free admission and a free glass of wine and finger food for everyone attending. So join us on the night and make this event something special.

White House Poets read ‘On The Nail’ Sun 6th Sept 2009
As part of ‘On The Nail’ reading series brought to you by the
Limerick Writers’ Centre,
the White House Poets will read Sunday 6th September at the SpiritStore Art Cafe, corner of Rutland street and Bank Place, Limerick. 4.00 to 6.00pm. There is no entrance fee. All Welcome.

About the White House PoetsThe White House Poets meets every Wednesday at the White House Bar, O Connell Street, Limerick. The reading has provided an open, supportive venue for countless poets to perform their work, and has fostered a community of poetry over the last six years . The open-mic regularly attracts upwards of twenty poets each week and guest poets from all over the world have taken part

About The SpiritStore Art CafeThe SpiritStore Art Cafe presents a collection of diverse cultural activities over the months of August and September to be hosted in the unique environment of a Limerick landmark,The Sarsfield Bar. In the coming weeks The Spirit Store project seeks to infuse this reclaimed space with an busy collection of talks, performances, debates / discussions, screenings, readings, meetings and chance encounters with musicians, writers, visual artists, film makers, collectives, as well as varied clubs and societies.This inclusive experiment is an open invitation for all of Limerick to experience, absorb and creatively contribute to an exciting project. The Sarsfield Bar is located on the corner of Rutland St and Bank Place directly across from the Hunt Museum. Opening times are 12.00 til sunset Tuesday to Sunday inclusive.(Coffee will be served free or with a donation but no food will be prepared or served in the space.)
